It’s really, properly good but I am already completely sure that I will never be very good at it and that’s a shame because it is going to be so much more enjoyable if you’re swapping high scores with a friend or two.Īran’s still busily mopping up the single player trophies in AC4: Black Flag with a few story ones still to get and the trifling matter of needing to beat every legendary ship. I also played a little bit of OlliOlli on Vita.

He’s finding it a bit weird that you get your full complement of assassin skills “simply because you’re a pirate but aside from that, I’m very much looking forward to 60 or so hours of stabbing and running and sailing”.

Peter has finally sat down to begin Assassin’s Creed IV: “The Piratey One” and says that “it looks gorgeous on PS4”. Warframe’s still providing me with a generous helping of fun and sense of progression, without forking over wads of cash, so I can’t see my play time reducing any time soon.

It has just received its 11.5 update which adds trophies (unfortunately not retroactive) alongside fixes, new weapons, the Oberon Warframe and The Cicero Crisis in-game event. There’s also been more Warframe whenever I get a spare half hour or more. Having continued where I left off with Zero this week felt like a welcome reunion with an old friend and I think that somehow I might have recaptured that indefinable something that made me enjoy the first Borderlands so much. For some reason I just didn’t enjoy BL2 when it first came out and the three characters I’d started all got left at around the mid-teen level. I'll be back to it soon I'm sure but for now I'm giving Village my time. This week I returned to an abandoned Borderlands 2 character. I love the challenge and even the brutality of restarts when its fair but for gods sake let us at least save our current run so we know its safe to return after power cut/update/console crash etc. It's frustrating as hell because the two previous nights I'd been seriously raving about the game (and still am). Now I'm well aware that much was made of turning off the auto update etc and that its my own doing but I can't help but feel that this current method of progression (or lack of) is majorly detrimental to the game as I immediately felt 'Boll*cks to ya' and loaded up Resi instead. Luckily, I'd invested some Ether into the regenerator before the fight and was happy to see me respawn there with my suit integrity as it was before snuffing it.Īnyway, I didn't have it in me to have another pop at the boss on that night so the ps5 went into rest mode and hit the ol' dusty trail.īright eyed, bushy tailed and ready for another shot I booted the ps5 and saw the game had been updated. I had managed a run that saw me clear out the 2nd Biome including boss and empty Biome 3 before failing on the 3rd life bar of that boss. So it's not correct to say you lose everything when you die from a meta point of view.Ĭlick to expand.I can totally relate to this. I'm going into a yellow-star challenge room and clearing it in seconds, with the right stuff. Again change the difficulty.Īs things unlock for RNG to be picked the game gets easier. Launcher needs fullauto or it's trash, ElectroPylon and Dreadbound can be good.Īrtifacts/parasites likewise can be game changers: the ones that regen at low integrity, integrity on hit, or stacking protection. Rotgland Lobber with Explosive, Caustic, Durable, Trailing.Carbine with Leech Rounds, Rising Pitch, (damage traits).HollowSeeker with Serrated Projectiles, Waves or Retarget, Portal Beam and Portal Turret.Getting say the HollowSeeker or rocket launcher without good traits can end a run, but there's very very overpowered traits too, and a gun goes from poor to amazing. Then once you start unlocking guns and traits, they will appear even in biome 1, so a good RNG on a chest may see you stroll through a biome just blending enemies. If one isn't used to watching numerous bullets and timing dodges, then it's going to be rough starting off. I think it front-loads a lot of difficulty at the start. How quickly do you adapt and learn?īoth guns and pickups, but also how rooms and enemies spawn. So that baseline impacts you starting skill ceiling. I'm bad at soccer/sports games, below average in driving games, but good at stealth games. It's so subjective, like what games is someone good at?
